Lock and load! This Stage 2 kit delivers a big boost in horsepower and streamlined torque in a simple package. The X3's increased boost, clutch, and exhaust go together like high-powered guns and tannerite. Together, they deliver a huge gain in power to the wheels. The AA Boost Box allows for great power depending on the level, supporting the mods and fuel you want to use. The clutch allows the revs to increase more quickly and reach the higher revs where the best power to the wheels is produced in the real world. The exhaust removes heat and has less back pressure, adding horsepower and facilitating longer, more consistent operation.
If you have a stock X3 (in terms of performance parts ), this kit is best combined with the Level 3 Melody. To go higher, we suggest our discharge valve and our recovery can (which youfound in our Stage 3 locking and loading kit). Learn more about it below in our tune-specific descriptions.
The 2022+ X3 RR is quick out of the box, mule 3010 utv parts, 6 ply utv tires, but why s stop there? The potential of this X3 RR is much greater. The 2014 Yamaha UTV parts intake, turbocharger and intercooler upgrades on this model make it easy to increase horsepower while maintaining low intake temperatures. We are very impressed with what this UTV can do out of the box with very few modifications. The factory seemed to make the boost very lazy, while it peaks well around 18-19 PSI (at our location, 1000 feet above sea level), it takes a bit to get there. Our Boost Box allows for much faster peak boost (especially when combined with the AA Throttle Box). The factory also feller the boost off a cliff above 8,000 rpm. Our Boost Box will hold thrust much better at higher rpm to maintain power and allow you to clutch at higher rpm where these engines like to run. Not just bench tested! We are avid racers and like the factory a ton of testing is done in the field to make sure you get 110%. Often we can make significant changes to further increase the power, handling and feel of the machine, which can never be done on the dyno. We grant maximum power for fuel and support mods. Level 1 - 91-93 Octane - 188 RWHP / 210-215 Crank HP: Our Level 1 tune can run on an X3 RR bone stock with no clutch or gear modifications 'exhaust. This tune runs on average between 19 and 20 PSI of boost and is very safe with excellent gains on 91 octane fuel. Stock wastegate spring pressure works best with this setting. p>
Level 2 - 91-93 Octane - 193 RWHP / 220-225 Crank HP: Our Level 2 setting is again designed for 91-93 octane and is very safe. This tune is absolutely crazy to run on a bone stock X3 RR. Maximum thrust is approximately 22-23 PSI, settling in at approximately 20-21 PSI. The stock clutch is generally fine, but our clutch kit will greatly help improve performance and control peak RPM. Our blow off valve kit is recordered. This tune will work great with stock exhausts, but even better with aftermarket exhausts. Your wastegate rod should be shortened 2 turns from the factory position with a crack pressure of 9-10 PSI.
Level 3 - 91-93 Octane MAX tune - 204 RWHP / 235 -240 Crank HP: Our Level 3 Tunes puts the hammer on 91-93 octane! It will peak around 23-24 PSI and maintain around 22-23 PSI...about 1 PSI more than our Level 2. This is a big gain of 24 RWHP over factory parts, massimo 400 utv, or 204-205 RWHP on our test bench. Our blow off valve kit is highly recommended. This tune will work great with stock exhausts, but even better with aftermarket exhausts. If you ride hard like in the dunes, we suggest using 93 octane or increasing the octane to 91 with a booster, OR dChanging to an aftermarket exhaust will remove enough heat from the engine.tor to run at 91 octane. Your wastegate rod should be shortened 4 turns from the factory position with a crack pressure of 11-12 PSI.
Level 4 - 95-100 Octane - Beast Mode - 213 RWHP / 250-255 Crank HP: This Tune is rated for 95-100 octane and has been developed using a can of unleaded VP Octanium in a fuel tank. Mixing other racing fuels with the setting to get 95-100 octane would work great, but keep in mind that leaded fuels can damage O2 sensors with constant use of leaded fuel. Now for the fun part...this tune is INSANE for a stock turbo tune and takes your X3 RR to a new level at 213 RWHP on our dyno. This is a gain of 33 RWHP which increases to 25-26 PSIpeaks, then stabilizes at 24-25 PSI. There are a few other problems with this tune...the speedometer has trouble keeping up with the wicked acceleration and the tires keep burning. A free-flowing exhaust like our 3" system is highly recommended for proper horsepower. The clutch is necessary to maintain peak RPM in ch.eck. Your wastegate stem should be shortened 6 turns from position factory with a crack pressure of 12-13 PSI. Our wastegate kit is HIGHLY recommended to avoid turbo damage.
Maximum horsepower is 7900-8200 on these models, so always set the clutch calibrations to operate at this RPM for proper performance.
Tuning Levels Explained: We have 3 different pump fuel settings so the customer can adjust the vehicle at a usable power level wherever it is located.uler, and it's sort of an RPM cheat. Let's say you're primarily trail running and don't need level 3 power... but you're going to the dunes. You can run level 1 on the trails and adjust your clutches for that, then when you go to the dunes, go up to level 2 or 3 and increase the maximum RPM without adjusting the clutch. Sometimes clutching still needs to be done for best performance, but this at least reduces the gap so you usually don't have to adjust the weights or propeller. For us, this is ideal for short trips where you simply don't have time to change the clutch.
Exhaust: We have found that the exhaust on these vehicles flows very well for the factory, but remains restrictive when spooling. On the test bench you can see and feel it on the ground. The more boost you run, the more power is retained. Avec Levels 3 and 4 we were able to see RWHP gains of 6-8 from 0-50 compared to the OEM exhaust. After about 55-60 MPH the stock exhaust/power level is within a few % of aftermarket. Plus, aftermarket UTV chassis parts and exhausts like ours will remove heat MUCH better, so your X3 RR will perform more consistently and powerfully when driven hard.
To avoid damage to the turbocharger, we recommend our blow off valve kit. at level 3 or higher. Level 4 and above, the discharge valve is absolutely necessary. Using this much boost, turbo surge can be a real problem when entering or exiting the throttle.
