Can Am Maverick R Stage 1 Lock & Load Kit

Lock and load! This Stage 1 kit delivers a big boost in horsepower and streamlined torque in a simple package. The AA Boost box allows for great power depending on the level setting, Honda Talon UTV 12 Volt Parts, Vendetta UTV Parts, Support Mods and the fuel you want to use. Our BOV is designed with the correct spring rate so the Maverick R is just the right combination of sounding good, not being annoying when cruising, and running smoothly. Get that great PSHHH sound when you let off the throttle!

The Maverick R is quick out of the box, but why stop there? The potential of the Maverick R is much greater. The factory-supplied intake, turbocharger and intercooler on this model make it easy to increase horsepower while maintaining low intake temperatures. We are very impressed with what this UTV can dofrom the start with very few modifications. The factory seemed to make the boost a little lazy at mid-throttle, even in sport+. While it peaks nicely around 20-21 PSI (at our location, 24v realtree utv parts, 1000 ft elevation), it takes a bit to get there. Our tuning increases the coil, overall boost and also makes the peak boost faster. This is a very noticeable gain.

The Maverick R does not come with a factory wastegate (BOV). Can Am relies on the large volume of the charging circuit and throttle closure to keep the engine off when the throttle is cut. It certainly works, but it's not ideal for your turbocharger. Our BOV kit sounds awesome and helps your turbo get rid of that extra boost when you back off the throttle. This results in longer turbo life and is overall better for the turbo and the engine.

Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and, like the factory, a ton of testing is done in the field to make sure you get 110%. You simply can't get better testing than actual work.ld. Often we can make significant changes to further increase the power, handling and feel of the machine, which can never be done on the dyno. We have a longer history of tuning turbocharged off-road vehicles than almost any competitor and it will show.

Easily installs by plugging in your MAP sensors, battery power, parts vitacci 650 utv, financing utv accessories and mounting the switch (optional, utv source location, you do not need to mount it)

Air/fuel ratiosant extensively tested and verified at each adjustment level. Maverick R models are a wideband type sensor/ECU, so they automatically adjust the fuel to the requested air/fuel ratio. In rare cases, such as in extremely cold weather, a fuel control box may be necessary if the fuel regulators are not able to adjust (this will send a code, but very unlikely).

Safety settings to protect your engine and turbocharger are always in place

Easily return to stock with the rotary switch in "Stock" mode, or by removing the AA Boost control box without any trace in ECU

Boost Control Box vs ECU tuning: Although we always prefer to calibrate a vehicle by modifying the OEM ECU settings, this is simply not an easy task on these vehicles due to crazy 2048 little security. The Boost Control Box allows us to do what is necessaryfor levels 1 to 4 to increase boost pressure and power output. This gives the greatest benefit/seat of the pants feeling and is all that is needed to put a smile on your face while you wax your buddy. The Maverick R's factory ECU calibration is pretty decent, but we're missing some things we'd normally do... like removing speed limiters, reverse limiters, engine fan temp. coolant, timing curves, 2 foot limiters and AFR enrichment during coil. In the grand scheme of things, these are minimal things that don't need adjustment on the Mav R. Most of your power comes from extra boost pressure from the turbocharger, wrecked utv parts, what we We're doing.

Throttle response correction: The Mav R has beenadjusted stable modes, so unlike the X3 models you can make it much more responsive. If you need more response, you can add our throttle control box. Our throttle control box will allow you to increase/decrease pedal response on the fly. This also allows you to set the throttle for a Valet/Kid mode if you wish.

Tuning Levels Explained: We have 3 different pump gas settings so the customer can tune the vehicle to a usable power level wherever they are. If any codes appear for fueling, boosting, or shifting the transmission, we suggest lowering the dial a "half setting" or all the way to the next lower setting.

A Original Maverick R on our test bench had 225 RWHP with 32" tires and runs at approximately 19-21 PSI of boost. All power levels listed below are done with the stock exhaust.

Level 1 - 91-93 Octane : Level 1 is on the switch, but only gains about half a PSI. Most will skip it, but it's there if you want a little 5 hp power boost.

Level 2 -. 91-93 Octane - 232 RWHP / 250-255 Crank HP: Our Level 2 setting is just a small power boost when you don't want a full squeeze This tune runs on average from 21 to 22 PSI (+1 to. 1.5 PSI) of boost and is very safe with great gains on 91 octane fuel. Gains 8 to 10 RWHP in the mid range. p>

Level 3 - 91-93 Octane - 240 RWHP / 260-270 Crank HP: Our Level 3 setting is again designed for 91-93 octane and is very safe. gains 17 to 20 RWHP inthe mid-range.  This tune is absolutely insane to be able to run on a bone stock Maverick R. Maximum boost is around 23-25 PSI (+2-3 PSI) and levels off at around 22-23 PSI. Our blow off valve kit is recommended. This tune will work great with the stock exhaust, but even better with the aftermarket exhaust.

Level 4 - Octane MAX 93+ Tuning - Stock 255 RWHP Exhaust / AA 261 Exhaust Open RWHP / 280-290 Crank HP: Our Tier 4 Tunes puts the hammer on 93+ octane! It will peak around 26-27PSI and maintain around 24-25 PSI (+4-5 PSI). This saves a whopping 36 RWHP in mid-range gain over factory! Our blow off valve kit is highly recommended. This tune will work great with stock exhausts, but even better with aftermarket exhausts. If you run hard (like in the dunes), we suggest usingRead 93+ octane or mix 91 octane with booster to get 93 to 95 octane (or better).  A 93+ octane rating works best to maintain proper power under heavy loads. This setting will work well with 91 octane in short bursts.

Exhaust: We have found that the exhaust on these vehicles flows well for factory, but still has a CAT and is restrictive . Our exhaust will reduce back pressure, allowing the turbocharger to spin faster. The more boost you run, the more power is retained. With Levels 3 and 4, we could see gains of 4-6 RWHP with our exhaust and side discharge open. With the side cutout of our exhaust closed, you will only see gains of 1-2 HP. Aftermarket exhausts like ours will remove heat MUCH better, so your Maverick R workswill be more consistent and powerful during intense driving.

Maximum boost levels are listed for reference only. Altitude, temperature, charge temperature, intercooler temperature and many other conditions play a role in final boost output.
