Can Am Maverick R Stage 3 Lock & Load Kit

Lock and load! This Stage 3 kit delivers a big boost in horsepower and streamlined torque in a simple package. The AA Boost Box allows for great power depending on the level, supporting the mods and fuel you want to use. Our BOV is designed with the correct spring rate so the Maverick R is the right combination of sounding, not being boring when cruising, and running smoothly. Get that great PSHHH sound when you don't step on the throttle! The exhaust removes heat and has less back pressure, adding power and facilitating longer, more consistent operation. We finish the kit with our driver's side charge tube to keep the boost under high pressure and our closed loop latch to keep your intake tract free of oil during high boost.

The Maverick R comes out of the box quickly, but why stop there? LThe potential of the Maverick R is much greater. The factory supplied intake, turbocharger and intercooler on this model make it easy to increase horsepower & always maintain low inlet temperatures. We are very impressed with what this UTV can do out of the box with very few modifications. The factory seemed to make the boost a little lazy at mid-throttle, even in sport+. While it peaks nicely around 20-21 PSI (at our location, 1,000 feet above sea level), it takes a bit to get there. Our tuning increases the coil, UTV source location, overall boost and also speeds up the boost peak. This is a very noticeable gain.

The Maverick R does not come with a factory wastegate (BOV). Can Am relies on the large volume of the charging circuit and throttle closure to keep the engine off when the throttle is cut. It definitely works, but this is not ideal for your turbocharger. Our BOV kit sounds awesome and helps your turbo get rid of that extra boost when you back off the throttle. This results in longer turbo life and is overall better for the turbo and engine.

We found that the Maverick R's exhaust flows well for factory, but it remains still as CAT and is restrictive. Our exhaust reduces back pressure, allowing the turbocharger to spin faster. The more boost you use, the more power is retained with a factory exhaust. With Levels 3 and 4, we see RWHP gains of 4-6 with our exhaust and side discharge open. With our exhaust's side cutout closed, you'll only see 1-2 RWHP gains.

Aftermarket exhausts like ours will remove heat MUCH better, so your Maverick R will run smoother.s consistent and more powerful during intense driving.

The oil catch can is a must-have for any Maverick R, and especially anyone running higher boost pressures. What happens is the more boost you use, the more crankcase pressure is created. Your factory crankcase vent is routed back into the intake tube.

With more pressure in the crankcase and more suction from the turbo, oil will begin to be sucked up through the lower end and enter the inlet duct. This is not good for the sensors, nor is it good for burning oil from a performance standpoint. Going with our closed-loop catch box design will essentially eliminate oil entering your intake.

Not just bench tested! We arepassionate riders and, like the factory, a ton of testing is done in the field to make sure you get 110%. You simply can't get better testing than in the real world. Often we can make significant changes to further increase the power, handling and feel of the machine, which can never be done on the dyno. We have a longer history of tuning turbocharged off-road vehicles than almost any competitor and it will show.

Air/fuel ratios extensively tested and verified at each setting level. Maverick R models are a wideband type sensor/ECU, so they automatically adjust the fuel to the requested amount of air/fuel.tio. DanIn rare cases, such as in extremely cold weather, a fuel control box may be required if the fuel regulators are not able to adjust (this will send a code, but very unlikely).

Boost Control Box vs ECU Tuning: While we always prefer to calibrate a vehicle by changing the OEM ECU settings, it is simply not a task easy on these vehicles due to the insane 2048-bit security. The Boost Control Box allows us to do what is necessary for levels 1-4 to increase boost pressure and power output. This gives the greatest seat of the pants benefit/feel and that's all thatis necessary to put a smile on your face while you wax your buddy. The Maverick R factory ECU calibration is pretty decent, but we are missing some things that we would normally do... like removing the speed limit, reverse limiters, cooling fan temp, timing curves, speed limiters. 2 feet, utv parts houston, cheap utv parts and AFR enrichment during the coil.  Overall, these are minimal items that don't require adjustment on the Mav R. Most of your power comes from the extra boost pressure from the turbocharger, which is what we're doing.

Throttle Response Correction: The Mav R has adjustable modes, so unlike the X3 models, you can make it much more responsive. If you need more response, you can add our throttle control box. Our c boxThrottle control will allow you to increase/decrease pedal response on the fly. This also allows you to set the throttle for a Valet/Kid mode if you wish. Levels tuning explained: We have 3 different pump fuel settings so the customer can tune the vehicle to a usable power level wherever they are.  If a code appears for fueling, increasing, or shifting the transmission, we suggest lowering the dial a "half tonnage" or all the way to the next lower setting.

A stock Maverick R on our dyno had 225 RWHP with 32" tires and runs at around 19-21 PSI of boost. All power levels listed below are done with the gold exhaustigine.

Level 1 - 91-93 Octane: Level 1 is on the switch, but only gains about half. a PSI.  Most will ignore it, but it's there if you want a small 5 hp bump in power.

Level 2 - 91-93 Octane - 232 RWHP / 250-255 Crank HP: Our setting Level 2 is just a small increase in power when you don't want full pressure.  This tune runs on average 21 to 22 PSI (+1 to 1.5 PSI) of boost and is very safe with excellent gains with 91 octane fuel. Gains 8 to 10 RWHP in the mid range.  Great setting when you just want a little more.

Level 3 - 91-93 Octane - 240 RWHP / 260-270 Crank HP: Our Level 3 setting is again rated for 91-93 octane and is very safe. This gains 17-20 RWHP in the midrange.

This tune is absolute. Really crazy to be able to ride a bone stock Maverick R.  Peak boost is around 23-25 PSI (+2-3 PSI), yamaha utv parts near me, and stabilizes at around 22-23 PSI.   Our blow off valve kit is recommended.  This tune will work great with the stock exhaust, but even better with the aftermarket exhaust.

Level 4 - Octane MAX 93+ Tuning - Stock 255 RWHP Exhaust / AA 261 Exhaust Open RWHP / 280-290 Crank HP: Our Tier 4 Tunes puts the hammer on 93+ octane!  It will peak around 26-27 PSI and maintain around 24-25 PSI (+4-5 PSI).  This saves a whopping 36 RWHP in mid-range gain over factory! Our blow off valve kit is highly recommended. This tune will work great with stock exhausts, but even better with aftermarket exhausts. If you run hard (like in the dunes), we suggest using 93+ octane or mixing 91 octane with a booster to getan octane rating of 93 to 95 (or better). A 93+ octane rating works best to maintain proper power under heavy loads. This tune will work fine with 91 octane over short bursts.

Maximum Boost levels are listed for reference only. Altitude, BMX UTV 500 parts, temperature, Bush Hog 4430 UTV parts, charging time, Z-parts, intercooler time and many other conditions play a role in boost output final.
