The Pro-R comes with the largest CVT clutch ever installed on a UTV to date. It features unmatched cooling/airflow to keep the longer belt cooler, UTV parts stores near me, and some cool features. However, this large diameter P90X clutch system still has some flaws. The biggest problem with the Pro R clutch is that it doesn't have enough grip on the belt. Just like the Pro XP/Pro R/RZR Turbo models, the secondary spring is too soft from the factory, but simply adding a stiffer spring is not the right solution. It is the combination of parts that ensures good grip of the belt. Our S3 kits help combat this with an AA propellercustom and stiffer secondary spring for even better belt grip, and the correct primary weight/spring to achieve proper RPM and maintain belt grip in the primary clutch. We go from a ton of black belt marks on the secondary to almost nothing during wide-open throttle abuse testing.
Our clutch kit on the Pro-R increases the revs more quickly for better acceleration out of the 4-cylinder inboard engine, making them accelerate and respond much quicker. After extensive testing to maintain consistency/RPM from run to run, we gained almost 7 RPM of ramp up power at around 40 mph compared to the OEM helix/S2 clutch kit! This shows us what we felt while driving, the OEM prop does not transfer torque from the big 4-cylinder.
Our Stage 3 clutch kit includes everything the S2 does, but addsute the propeller. . The propeller adds more aggressive shifting to the secondary clutch, giving you even better acceleration gains and making you feel more locked in to the rear wheels. This is extremely important on the Pro R as they seem to drop down a bit in the low revs, without feeling like the revs are reaching the tire. We spent many hours in the field and on the dyno testing different angles to find what absolutely works best. We found that this angle worked very well with all tire sizes and that a specific angle at high load was not necessary due to the low range gearing and larger clutches. Simple weight adjustment settings will allow you to connect on 32-37" tires.
The AA propeller has MUCH less roller/pawl noise when changing from loading to unloading on the drivetrain. OURrole pocket is smaller and without the EBS (don't worry, they still have excellent engine braking, especially at low revs). This also helps extend the life of the secondary clutch roller.
Our recoil clutch masses are easily adjustable with simple magnets. They have a custom AA profile, the BEST coating on the market (nitrocarburizing) which has increased wear resistance, improved fatigue resistance and increased surface lubrication. These clutch weights also offer excellent performance and the ability to fit many.
