The Maverick R comes with the fuel pump assembly that Found in 2018+ stock X3 R and RR models coupled. to a dual injector per cylinder configuration. The dual-injector setup allows for much higher power potential than the X3 on gas-powered tunes, however, two issues prevent high-horsepower E85 tunes from being used with the OEM fuel system. The first is the low flow capacity of the stock fuel pump, with the fuel pump itself being around 155 liters per hour. This is sufficient for large powers and the original turbo gasoline tunes, but cannotnot circulating enough for E85. This means it requires around 30% more fuel for the same boost pressure. The second reason is the injector size relative to the original fuel pressure. Although there are 6 fuel injectors, they are small, around 450 cc each. Our goal was to provide a simple upgrade that would allow the customer to retain their stock injectors while upgrading the fuel pump to provide the flow and pressure required for over 300 horsepower at the wheels on the E85. The solution was to redesign the entire fuel pump for greater performance, flexibility and functionality.

The EVP system consistsof an OEM type surge tank/basket with an E85 safe DW of 340 liters per hour. pump which can be used either as static fuel pressure like stock or as increasing flow. The pump assembly itself has enough fuel flow for about 400 wheel horsepower on E85, so there's plenty of overhead for future power upgrades. The OEM fuel pump assembly includes a fuel filter, but it is not replaceable. When this filter becomes clogged, you must replace the whole thing. The EVP system features a billet spin-on filter, which houses a 100 micron stainless steel fuel filter facisland to maintain. We also include a properly designed relay harness. The OEM fuel pump receives electrical current directly from two pins on the ECU. While this is sufficient for the amp draw of the small OEM pump, it cannot tolerate the larger amp draw of a large capacity pump. Our professional relay harness removes the electrical load from the ECU and transfers it to the power pack under the dashboard cover. The functionality is identical with the pump operating on and off with a signal from the ECU. Finally, for customers who want to use E85 for racing, but want the flexibility to run gasoline tunes, the 91 and 93 gas tune files have been redesigned for the escalating rate system . This allows you to easily switch between gasoline and E85 without any mate modifications.rielle.
