UHMW stands for: Ultra High Molecular Weight, ultimately it is a measure of density. During its manufacturing process, the molecules of this plastic are compacted as densely and as closely together as possible. UHMW is approximately 100 times denser thanHMW is exponentially denser than ABS or other common plastics. Our UHMW is partially made from recycled UHMW materials, making the consistency more rigid and shock absorbing than that of fresh new plastic, allowing the perfect amount of limited flex capacity needed to withstand impacts. Our UHMW has a very low coefficient of friction, which means it is very slippery in harsh conditions, up there with Teflon and other abrasion resistant materials, side by side with UTV parts , but it has the impact resistance and density to support it and withstand some of the harshest environments you can throw at it.
