With the advent and explosion of UTV sales, drivetrain system engineering has been pushed to the extreme. Previously designed ATV components were either adopted into newer UTV platforms or slightly modified to meet technical requirements. UTVs weigh more and carry more cargo than you ever thought possible from an ATV platform. The clutches and drive belt appear to be a weak link as the extra load is converted into wasted thermal energy. This waste heat deteriorates drive belts, UTV towing accessories, Realtree UTV 24V parts and breaks down composite bearing surfaces and parts, leading to increased inefficiency. This loss of efficiency only provides more ways to produce heat and the vicious cycle repeats itself until breakdown. "THE BLOW HOLE" for UTVs brings our productrespected and appreciated snowmobile as well as its heat-fighting capabilities to increase the longevity of the transmission and, ultimately, your investment. We developed this out of a desperate need to increase the belt and clutch life of the rental machines we used on the sand dunes. In the extreme conditions of sand dunes, it has become common to remove belt covers in a desperate attempt to avoid belt failure. Although removing the cover helps prevent belt failure, the increased contact with sand causes premature clutch wear and failure. That's why we adapted "THE BLOW HOLE" to fit the UTV market. UTVs put extreme loads on their clutches and belt, which generates extreme heat. This heat is your enemy. This leads to premature wear of your clutches,cheap UTV parts, a military discount on UTV parts, and complete belt failure. If you've ever had to change a belt, you know it's the last thing you want to do on the trails or in the sand. "THE BLOW HOLE" for UTVs places a high-efficiency auxiliary fan in the cooling ducts of your clutch housing. It significantly reduces the ultimate temperatures generated in the clutch system and also accelerates the cooling of the clutch housing when cruising at lower speeds between high load events. The Maverick Sport/Trail Blow Hole connects to OEM Plug and Play connectors and connects directly to the tail light harness for easy installation.

- DC Fan Low amperage draw (2.0 A starting and 1.7 A continuous) does not overload the electrical system.
- The robust aluminum designwelded is tough enough to withstand abuse yet lightweight
- Pulls approximately 224 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air through the clutch ducts enhancing the OEM clutch fan
- Air is removed from the clutch housing and the fan installation does not prevent or interfere with belt changes
- Active ventilation system that expels hot air even at low ground speed, unlike the OEM RPM dependent clutch mounted fan.
- Clutches and belt stay cooler, allowing them to last longer and perform better.
- Belt dust and other fine debris are essentially vacuumed out of the clutch cover area so clutches stay cleaner.
- Factory connector allows for a true plug and play installation. Also allows for quick disconnection for troubleshooting and repair workon the machine.
- This blow-off hole fits the Can-Am Maverick Sport 800/1000R with minor enlargement of the auxiliary clutch air intake hole.
- This blow hole will also fit the Can-Am Maverick Trail 800/1000 but requires replacing the clutch cover with the 1000R style variator cover (part number 420212509) and requires drilling a hole for the air intake. Â Instructions coming soon.
